- Filtration: Filters out the micro-organisms and bacteria feeding particles that causes algae and other forms of bacterial growth.
- Circulation: Proper circulation will allow chemical products to dissolve and be distributed in all area of the pool water. Lack of adequate circulation may cause algae growth.
- Balancing: Water is constantly in movement and changing which affects its balance level. The perfect balance is achieved by a pH reading between 7.2 and 7.8ppm, total alkalinity level between 80 to 120ppm, and calcium hardness level between 100 and 200ppm for spa and 200 to 300ppm for pool water.
- Sanitizing: Will permit to destroy organisms known as pathogens, which includes bacteria, fungi and viruses harmful to humans. Will also control algae. With proper chemical treatments, these contaminants can easily be destroyed.
