Skimmers

The skimmer in your pool is provided to suck the water from only the surface of the pool to catch any floating debris such as hair, leaves, insects, oils and lotions. These floating materials will then be filtered through the skimmer. Small amounts of water will seep through the door called the floating weir, as it open and closes only a little bit at a time. Once debris flows thorough the weir, it is then sucked down into the skimmer or strainer basket which will catch the large materials. This strainer basket needs to be emptied every so often to rid it of debris and make room for more. This skimming process is only part of the entire cleaning and filtering system in a pool, but an aesthetically pleasing process, no doubt! We have many parts available to install or fix your skimmer.
