Skimmer Replacement Weirs

The skimmer system in your pool, pulls the surface debris off and through the skimmer to leave your pool looking great. Did you know that the door of the skimmer is called the floating weir? This little door is the inlet passageway that swings in and out to allow a small amount of water through at a time. It allows the floating debris to pass through here without sucking large amount of water in all the time. It swings open and closed regulating the amount at water through yet allowing the surface debris to be sucked through still. The floating weir door should not be opened all the time, it is suppose to swing back and forth. Sometimes these doors get a little abused as they are around the outsides of the pool and can get bumped and knocked around by toys and floating pool devices. Not to worry as they can be easily replaced to have your skimmer area looking new and crisp again.
