Multiport Valves

These valves go by a few different names such as backwash valve, filter control valve or vari-flo valve. It's job is to control the direction and flow of water in your pool. It's located near the pump and filter. Multiport valves have a few different setting. Anywhere from 3-6 and this will perform different functions. These setting could be filter setting, backwash setting, waste setting, rinse setting, recirculate, closed and winter settings. You will know there's a problem with the valve when the valve leaks or water doesn't go to where it's set to.
