Your pool and or spa motor attaches to the water pump and together, they are the prime pieces of pool and spa equipment and the "heart" of every pool and spa. They are used in recirculating the water from the pool or spa. The motor will turn the impeller inside the pump.
When your pump does not seem to be working, it may just be the motor part that would need work or a possible replacement. They are 2 separate parts. Always replace your pool motor with the same horsepower, the same motor speed (single or 2 speed), the same voltage and the same frame type as the original motor. Don't try to go bigger and better. The horsepower you need will be printed on the nameplate of the motor. Try to go with the same motor that it was designed for! It is a good idea to replace all seal tools used in your motor such as gaskets, O rings and shaft seals when you replace or repair your motor. Also keep in mind that wiring a new motor incorrectly will burn it out so please know what you are doing before you "try". When in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us.
