Heater Assemblies Low Flow

Low flow heaters typically are popular with many different types of hot tub designs. They use a small circulation pump for water flow. Water flows through the heater assembly where it is warmed up by the components inside the assembly (heater element). This heating system has a flow switch (or pressure switch) as well as a high limit switch. If overheating or obstruction of water flow happens, these switches act as safety devices. Unlike the flow thru heater assembly, when there is a problem wit these types of heaters, they usually need to be entirely replaced as everything is sealed inside the housing making it not possible to just replace the heater element. Again, please remember to have a qualified electrician work on your hot tub as electricity and water do not mix! Always remember to disconnect your hot tub before touching anything electrical in it!
