Air buttons push air through a tubing causing your hot tub air blower to turn on. The buttons are connected to your control box switches along with air tubing. This allows for the hot tub components to go on and off without the use of electricity. They basically control the air switches which are connected to your pump and light and air blowers, etc. If your air button is not working properly, it's a good idea to see if they are still attached and connected internally. Many things can happen to the air buttons such as water entering them or rodents getting at them, etc. These air buttons do need to replaced at times and they are not hard to do.
